Mirjana Vodopija

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”1470″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_text_separator title=”Mirjana Vodopija”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Mirjana VODOPIJA graduated in 1987 from the Graphics Art Department at the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Zagreb. Since 1985 she had 33 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 200 group exhibitions or curatorial concepts in Croatia and abroad and in several international residence projects. She has received numerous national and international art awards. Her works are included in the collections of major Croatian museums and galleries, and some significant private art collections.

Throughout her artistic work, through pervasion of various art techniques and disciplines, including drawings, graphics, luminoobjects, installations, ambiences and photographs, she has developed diverse and unique artistic opus, with contemplation and specific treatment of light as key features.

Art historians and theorists have written about her work, in books and art magazines, as well as in art sections of newspapers. A comprehensive monograph about her art written by art historian Branko Francheschi was published by the publishing house Fraktura in 2004.

She works as an associate at Croatian National Television as a set designer, and designer of their shows. Since 2007 she has been teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, currently as a full professor.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
